FAQs

  • A session lasts 40 minutes. A double session of 80 minutes is also available if needed.

  • There's never a one-size-fits-all answer, as it always depends on your individual desires, goals, and prior knowledge.

  • As a nutritionist, I'm not qualified to treat existing (chronic) illnesses or eating disorders; for those concerns, you should consult a doctor. I also advise pregnant and nursing mothers to seek out a nutritionist with specialized training. My coaching is tailored to your abilities and goals, providing you with nutritional knowledge, and is generally preventive and educational.

  • No, your current dietary habits don't matter. I offer guidance to anyone who is interested.

  • "Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals" - Donald Watson, co-founder of the Vegan Society of England, 1944.

As you can discern from the definition, it's important not to overlook the aspect of "practicability." One should not compromise their own health, for instance, if the only vegan option available while traveling is less healthy, like vegan Oreos, instead of wholesome vegan food. Your health should be considered as significant as that of other animals. Act with consideration, not ideology.

  • - A vegan diet involves abstaining from animal products such as meat, fish, eggs, dairy, and honey. However, it doesn't automatically equate to health, as one could still consume foods like French fries and cotton candy on a daily basis.

    - A plant-based or whole-food diet emphasizes the consumption of foods that are as close to their natural state as possible and minimally processed. It's within this approach that the health benefits of a whole-food vegan diet are truly realized.

  • Don't worry, it's easy. By smartly incorporating legumes, certain grains, and other plant-based foods, you can easily meet your nutritional needs, even as an athlete or bodybuilder.

  • A whole-food vegan diet isn't more expensive; in fact, meat and other animal products often cost you more, both financially and health-wise. Investing in high-quality, health-promoting foods now can save you from spending on illnesses later, while you enjoy a lifetime of feeling good. It's true that some vegan substitutes are still quite pricey, but I'll show you how to shop in a way that's both economical and healthy.

  • In my coaching, you don't have to go vegan. I help you identify which habits truly contribute to your well-being and which can be reduced. Reducing doesn't mean you have to give up something forever. In fact, you'll discover a new, exciting and delicious culinary world that will quickly overshadow any thoughts of deprivation. Any transition would also be gradual, at your own pace.

  • No need to worry, meticulous calorie counting is rarely necessary. However, if you're interested, we can certainly determine your requirements and discuss the approach.

  • Vitamin B12 is indeed the only truly critical nutrient in a vegan diet, but even vegetarians and those with a mixed diet can often have insufficient B12 levels. Therefore, supplementation is necessary and sensible.
